The Story of Hawkers Surfboards

Hawkers Surfboards was founded in 2010 with a vision to create unique, hand-crafted wooden surfboards, paddle boards, belly boards and hand planes.

After years of shaping personal boards in a hamlet on the Cornish coast, experimenting with ideas, designs and materials, George Thomas took pursuit of his passion and launched Hawkers Surfboards.

Now operating in Wadebridge, we strive to use the best, sustainably sourced materials. We want our customers to enjoy the oceans, lakes and rivers with complete peace of mind.

Traditional wooden surfboards are the foundation and inspiration behind Hawkers. From backyard shaping as a teenager to honing his skills in the Swiss Alps, George then took his learnings back to his hometown in Cornwall with a dream of sharing the experience.

George now creates unique wooden surf crafts for people to enjoy the water in their own way.
